ChatGPT is a powerful tool that can be used to translate plugins or themes in WordPress. Follow these steps after you select the language in which you want to translate your theme or plugin.
Translating the Strings
- Click on the “Auto Translate” button.
- A pop-up will appear. Select the ChatGPT Translator.
- A window will open with a series of steps.
- Click on the Copy button. This will copy the strings of the theme or plugin.
- After copying the strings, ChatGPT for translation will open in a new tab. Paste copied strings there.
- Click on the Enter button, and translation for copied strings will start.
- When the translation is completed, copy the translation.
Upload translated strings
- Go back to your website and Paste the translation in step 3.
- Now click on Save & Continue Button to continue your translation.
- Now you are on next part with other strings, repeat the same process for all the parts.
- At last when you are on last part, repeat the same process and click on Save & Close Button.
Save translations
- Then, click on Start Adding Process.
- Once you click on Start Adding Process. All the translations will get added to the loco translator string table.
- Click on the Save button.
Note that while machine translation tools like ChatGPT can be helpful, they may not provide perfect translations, and there may be inaccuracies or errors in the translation. Therefore, it’s always a good idea to have a professional translator review the translation if it’s critical for your business or organization.
